The reality of today is (just look at the news channels) that it is necessary to be prepared to repulse criminal actions of a mass nature.
What or who are we talking about? Of course, about possible mass threats for state organizations and structures, namely:
- state banks
- police stations
- SBU departments
- embassies and consulates of states present in Ukraine
- Atom stations
- institutions of the penitentiary system.
It should be noted that the potential threats to the public sector significantly exceed the threats to commercial organizations (POIs, commercial banks, pawnshops, etc.), therefore
it is necessary to be prepared for the fact that there is a high probability of unlawful acts of a criminal nature with the use of weapons of high lethality against employees of these organizations.
Therefore, it is necessary to impose increased requirements on the enclosing structures that are installed in these institutions.
What structures are we talking about.
First of all it is:
- constructions with the help of which the entrance to these organizations is organized
- security posts for these organizations
- facade structures (windows/doors).
What are the features of the use of structures of increased protection class.
First of all, these are design features that provide high-class protection.
An important point of such structures should be noted.
In my opinion, it is necessary to use combined designs, i.e. simultaneous ballistics and burglary protection.
This will entail the development of new technological and structural processes, the use of new materials and new recommendations for the installation of such structures at the customer's site.
Fortunately, there are state standards for the implementation of these works (DSTU: 4546:2006, 4547:2006, EN 1627:2014, EN 356:2005), which will contribute to the solution of these problems.

At the same time, they provide security in the selected protection class and the necessary stability for installed heavy structures and large-area glazing.
